Flipping the script! Thomas Jacobs proposed to fiancée Becca Kufrin less than six months after she popped the question.
“oui, si, ja, ken, da, ye, yas yes YES! Love you forever, my little pumpkin 🎃💍 Now let’s get married!” Kufrin, 32, wrote via Instagram on Friday, October 28, alongside photos of Jacobs, 30, getting down on one knee while on the beach surrounded by pumpkins that read, “Marry me.”
The couple met on season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise during summer 2021. While Jacobs and Kufrin had a strong bond on the series, they parted ways during the show’s October 2021 finale.
The former Bachelorette, who was engaged twice before connecting with Jacobs, explained during the episode that she wasn’t “100 percent” confident in her and the California native’s relationship.
Once the final aired, however, ABC announced that the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast cohost and Jacobs had rekindled their romance off screen.
“We came back [home] and had to explore that on our own away from the cameras but in that moment [on the beach during the finale], I think that was game-changing for me,” Kufrin said during an October 2021 episode of the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast. “Because I have really never had somebody fight, I would say, like, tooth and nail to want to keep a relationship with me.”
Jacobs, for his part, gushed over the Minnesota native on their six-month anniversary in December 2021.
“And just like that, 6 months later. I’m so proud to share this life with you,” the real estate broker wrote via Instagram at the time. “182 sunrises have brought so much joy, growth and love into my life and I’m grateful for each one. Can’t wait for 18,200 more.”
Five months later, the Bourdon founder once again surprised fans when she announced that she asked Jacobs to marry her.
“In the ultimate plot twist … HE SAID YES,” Kufrin captioned an Instagram proposal snap in May. “We’ve been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while but we’re so excited to shout it from the rooftops!”
The University of San Diego alum shared the happy news on social media as well, writing, “The ultimate UNO reverse card / power move. You keeping me on my toes for a lifetime has a great ring to it. Cheers to forever Boops.”
The following month, Kufrin exclusively told Us Weekly she was confident that Jacobs was The One after overcoming her previous broken engagements.
The former publicist was briefly engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. after season 22 of The Bachelor. After going on to become the Bachelorette lead in season 14, she got engaged to winner Garrett Yrigoyen in 2018, but they called it quits after two years later.
“I think makes this relationship different with [Thomas] is that he’s really the one person [I’ve been with] who our values and our morals align,” Kufrin told Us in June. “He’s the first guy too that I’m, like, ‘I actually want to spend my entire life with you.’”
